Jamii ya Lumad Nchini Ufilipino Yasimama Kidete dhidi ya Uonevu

Viongozi wa Lumad wakionesha bango linaloshinikiza kulindwa kwa jamii yao walipokuwa katika matembezi ya kuelekea jijini Manila. PIcha kutoka Ukurasa wa Facebook wa ST Exposure

Mnamo Oktoba, 2015, zaidi ya watu 700 wa jamii ya Lumad (Raia wazawa kutoka katika kisiwa cha Mindanao kilichopo kusini mwa nchi ya Ufilipino) walisafiri maelfu ya kilomita ikiwa ni pamoja na kuweka kambi katika jiji la manila kwa lengo la kushinikiza kuondolewa kwa wanajeshi pamoja na kusitisha matumizi ya nguvu za kijeshi katika jamii zao.

Ukijulikana kama Manilakbayan 2015 [2], msafara wa watu ambao pia una lengo la kutafuta kuungwa mkono na jamii ya kimataifa katika kukomesha ukiukwaji wa haki za bianadamu unaofanywa na majeshi ya nchi dhidi ya jamii ya Lumad.

Shuhuda [3] kutoka kwa baadhi ya jamii ya watu wa Lumad zilisambazwa kupia mtandao wa Facebook na kikundi cha Southern Tagalog Exposure [4].

Kiungo habari #StopLumadKillings [5] kilipata umaarufu nchini Ufilipino mara baada ya kutokea kwa mauaji ya kutisha [6] ya Emerito Samarca ambaye ni mkuu wa shule ya jamii ya watu wa Lumad pamoja na mauaji ya raia wazawa Dionel Campos na Bello Sinzo, mauaji yaliyotokea mwezi Septemba 1, 2015.

Hili ni moja ya tukio la aina yake ambalo wanaharakati wanaliona kuwa ni kampeni ya kimkakati [7] ya ukandamizaji dhidi ya raia wazawa wa Mindanao, ikies ni pamoja na kuwalenga viongozi wao na kuwaua, ufungaji wa shule za raia wazawa, pamoja na ardhi yao kukaliwa na wanajeshi.

Mashirika ya Lumad yanaelezea kuwa yanalengwa chini ya mwavuli wa organizations explain that they are being targeted at the behest of Uchimbaji madini mkubwa, mashamba makubwa ya kilimo, pamoja na makampuni mengine [8] yaliyo na uchu wa wa ardhi yenye rutuba ya jamii ya watu wa Lumad.

Majeshi ya Ufilipino yanatuhumiwa pia kwa kuweka wanajeshi na kutoa mafunzo ya kijeshi kwa watu wa jamii ya Lumad [9] kwa ajili ya kukabiliana na ndugu zao wenyewe. Utoaji wa mafunzo ya kijeshi kwa baadhi ya jamii ya watu wazawa imepelekea kuhama kwa maelfu [10] ya watu wa Lumad kutoka Mindanao.

Taarifa hizi fupi zilizokusanywa na Southern Tagalog Exposure [11] yatoa ushuhuda kuhusiana na utoaji wa mafunzo ya kijaeshi kwa jamii ya wazawa pamoja na uporaji wa ardhi za urithi za wazawa.
